Lip Swatch! - Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipstick - Light Berry Frost - 505A

I have a post with 9 of the Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipsticks swatched out here.   This post is part of my expansion of that post, in which I swatch each color on my lips!

Light Berry Frost is a super-bright fuchsia pink.  It certainly leans blue.  The shimmer is white and silver with a slight blue pearl tone.  Like the other Wet n Wild frost colors, Light Berry Frost stays far away from that white-moonglow-frost that was popular in the 80's.  I wore this color all last weekend while I was on vacation.  It is much brighter and lighter than the other colors that I wear, and I thought that a weekend away would be a good time to experiment.  Because the color is so light, I found that prepping the lip was absolutely necessary to avoid creasing and clumping.  After exfoliating and applying my Lansinoh Lanolin, I had a smooth base that helped the color look more like a part of me, rather than something sitting on top of my lip.  It does a great job of brightening up my face, I love it!

Ok, on to the lipstick!

First, bare lips.  I prepped them with a thin application of Lansinoh:

Now, few swipes, applied straight from the tube.  I left half of my lips bare for comparison.

Next is full lip.  I applied directly from the tube to the bare side.  This color goes on somewhat sheer, and builds with a few swipes.  I don't find any need for a lipbrush.

I don't find any need for a lipgloss to top the Silk Finish lipsticks.  After applying my Lansinoh Lanolin, my lips are soft and moisturized, and then adding the Silk Finish on top just makes them even glossier.  The formula is soft and slippery, and there is zero stickiness.
